Our Purpose

Community

Pipestone is committed to giving our time, talent, and treasure back to the communities where we work and live. Our charitable focuses are supporting kids and fighting food insecurity.

Supporting Youth and Hunger

Meat the Need

Our Meat the Need program donated over 78,000 lbs. of pork across the Midwest, feeding 26,000 families. Team members helped pack boxes for families in need to enjoy a nice holiday meal.

Fuel4Kids

Pipestone supported over 80 backpack programs across the Midwest to send home snacks and meals for kids that may otherwise go hungry over weekend breaks.

Pipestone team members volunteer at the McCrossan Boys Ranch Rodeo by handing out snacks and food at the event.
McCrossan Boys Ranch

Team members enjoyed volunteering at the McCrossan Boys Ranch Rodeo in Sioux Falls, SD. Pipestone’s donation helps support the work of McCrossan Boys Ranch as they reach out to troubled boys ages 12 to 20 who have experienced conflict in their life, working with them on values, education, and life skills.

Farmer-Led Giving

Farmers care about giving back in their sow farm’s communities. Through Pipestone Cares, the farmer-owners of Pipestone Managed sow farms contribute funds to charitable projects with a $1,000 match from Pipestone. In 2024, Pipestone Cares donated over $280,000 to over 300 causes including First Responders, FFA, 4-H, and local youth and community initiatives.

Team-Led Giving

We foster a culture of Caring by encouraging our team members to give alongside Pipestone. Our GiVE project matches team member donations to the organizations where they volunteer.

Agriculture Education

Consumers are interested in learning where their food comes from and who raises it. We are passionate about Ag Education and sharing how our farmers care for their animals and provide safe and quality pork for our families.

Discovery Barn

Our Discovery Barn spaces are a great opportunity for families and consumers to learn about where their food comes from. Set up at nine different fairgrounds, you can see livestock, talk with a farmer, and have fun with our interactive displays and games!
