Episode 44: Tackling High Feed Costs

Hayden Kerkaert grew up on a diverse livestock farm and earned a B.S. in Animal Science from South Dakota State University in 2018, followed by an M.S. in Swine Nutrition from Kansas State University in 2020. He joined Pipestone in 2020 and currently works as the Director of Pig Sales & Marketing. He resides in Baltic, SD, and enjoys fishing and pheasant hunting.

Jake Koepke, a Sioux Falls native, holds a Bachelor's degree in Microbiology and Biotechnology (2015) and a Master’s degree in Swine Nutrition (2017) from South Dakota State University. He joined Pipestone in 2022 and currently serves as a Nutritionist and Senior Supervisor of Managed Feed Mills, where he plays a key role in optimizing feed mill operations and supporting swine nutrition programs. Jake enjoys spending time with his wife, Shelby, and their two children: Ava and Colton.
