Our team experts conduct commercial-scale research to develop practical solutions. Equipped with Wean-to-Finish (WTF) barns and BSL-2 facilities, we replicate industry-standard conditions and uphold rigorous research protocols.

Pipestone Applied Research (PAR)

We focus on developing practical solutions to industry challenges through carefully designed, executed, and analyzed on-farm trials. These real-world trials address current issues in areas such as production, health, and genetics, providing actionable insights to swine producers and industry professionals.

Pipestone Contract Research (CRO)

Our Contract Research division works closely with companies to develop and execute tailored research trials, offering reliable, actionable insights to meet their specific needs. These private trials are designed for companies and service providers in the swine industry seeking precise, actionable trial results to support specific products or strategies.

Technical Services

Our Technical Services team improves processes and procedures for Pipestone-managed sow farms. Through on-site trials and in-depth data analysis, they evaluate results and implement targeted improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Focus on Animal Welfare

Animal welfare is central to our research. Our internal Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) ensures compliance with laws, regulations, and best practices in animal research. Comprised of experts in science, veterinary medicine, and ethics, the committee reviews and approves protocols to maintain the highest standards of care in accordance with U.S. regulations.
