Dr. Lauren Glowzenski joined Pipestone in October 2024 as a Veterinarian, serving customers in Missouri, Illinois, and Indiana. Originally from New Jersey, Lauren now lives on a hobby farm in Danville, Iowa, with her horses, goats, chickens, ducks, and dogs.
She earned her Veterinary Medical Doctor (VMD) degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 2016 and was recognized as Young Swine Veterinarian of the Year by the AASV in 2022. Before veterinary school, Lauren taught science through Teach for America, a role that highlights her passion for education and helping others grow.
In her free time, Lauren enjoys camping and trail riding with her horses in national forests, reflecting her love for the outdoors and animals.
(Fun fact: DVM (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine) and VMD (Veterinary Medical Doctor) are equivalent degrees. The only difference is the origin: DVM is used by almost every veterinary schools in the United States, while VMD is only awarded by the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine.)
